I’ve joined forces with some of the most exciting talent in the travel blogging world to bring you the Wednesday Roamers. We’ll be providing everybody, from professional travel writers to people who just love to roam, with a platform to share their opinions, stories and photos with the world. There will be Twitter chats, photo contests and much more.
Wednesday Roamers is hosted by:
Based in Addis Ababa, Ehtiopia, Dave shines a light on the dark continent by sharing his stunning photos and interesting insights on ex-pat life in Africa. He has some great tips on what to eat, drink and see in Africa, so if you’re interested in in heading off the beaten path then head over to cooksipgo.com.
Manouk runs the informative backpacking bible that is bunchofbackpackers.com. You’ll find price breakdowns, travel tips and stories from exotic lands – everything you need to plan your next backpacking trip. If you’re travelling to China, make sure you read her post about the most beautiful place in China, I wish I had known about it before I went there!
Dontforgettomove.com is full of travel tips, stories and inspiration. Jules and Christine are Latin America experts, so if you’re heading that way then you should definitely check it out. They prove that Cuba doesn’t have to be an expensive destination and that you can stay on a postcard worthy Caribbean island on a backpacker budget.
A mixed race couple (I’m not sure if Italian and English really counts though!), Margherita and Nick share some awesome photos and stories from around the world. They love checking out festivals and adventure destinations, and look out for some posts on Madagascar in the near future! Head to thecrowdedplanet.com and get inspired.
And me, I don’t think I need to introduce myself though….
The Instagram Photo Challenge
The first initiative from the Wednesday Roamers will be an Instagram photo challenge. Beginning Wednesday, August 6th, tag your best Instagram shots with #WeRoamPhoto to enter the contest. The following Wednesday, the winner and their photo will be featured on the Facebook page of one of the hosts! We look forward to seeing your photos and roaming together.
